Chinook RV Park Welcomes You!
Camping at the Oregon Coast at Chinook RV Park - what could be better! The Alsea River and Bay, famous for its Dungeness Crab and Chinook Salmon, are enjoyed year-round by fishermen, crabbers, hunters, boaters, kayakers and birdwatchers. We are close to spectacular ocean beaches. Our park is on the river, just 3.3 miles from Highway 101 and the ocean, on Highway 34.
In spring, come and marvel at the wonderful rhododendrons in the area; summer brings long days for beachcombing, hiking and fun evenings around campfires; fall is salmon fishing, crab feasts and clear sunny days; winter offers dramatic storm-watching, whale sightings, agate-hunting and a chance to escape the snow and ice of inland areas.
Waldport has boat and kayak rental, a boat launch, crabbing for Dungeness crab, fishing, grocery stores and sightseeing. Spend some time browsing the antique stores, the local museum and the Interpretive Center or walking the miles of sandy beaches. North is the fishing port of Newport, with the Oregon Coast Aquarium, fishing charters and good seafood; Depoe Bay for whale watching and good clam chowder; and Lincoln City with outlet stores and Chinook Winds casino. South, visit the delightful village of Yachats, hike Cape Perpetua, take a tour of the Sea Lion Caves or head to the town of Florence with its sand dunes, fishing port and Three Rivers Casino. Along the way, both north and south, enjoy miles of spectacular beaches, dramatic cliffs and whale watching.
