About Chinook RV Park
Chinook RV Park has 22 large full hook-up, 12 water/electric and several tent sites. You can pitch your tent on the riverbank, launch your kayak or canoe and return to spend the evening around the campfire.
We have Wi-Fi throughout the park, a communal fire pit, hot showers and a laundry. We are pet-friendly; dogs love to run off-leash on our tidal wetlands.
If you enjoy bird-watching, you will love Chinook RV Park. Alsea Bay has been designated an “IMPORTANT BIRD AREA” by the Audubon Society. At Chinook, bird watchers can enjoy ospreys, bald eagles, Canada geese, herring gulls, hawks and many other varieties. Elk and deer are plentiful in this area and, when the salmon are running, harbor seals play off the river bank.
We are just outside the town of Waldport, where boat and kayak rentals, crabbing, fishing and sightseeing await. Spend some time browsing the antique stores or walking on the miles of sandy beaches. Waldport is located mid-way between California and Washington on Hwy 101. North is the fishing port of Newport, with the Oregon Coast Aquarium and fishing charters, and Lincoln City with its outlet stores and casino. South, visit the delightful town of Yachats, hike Cape Perpetua, take a tour of the Sea Lion Caves or head to the dunes and casino of Florence. Along the way in each direction, enjoy miles of spectacular beaches and whale-watching.
Tired of cooking! Buck’s Restaurant is located next door, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner six days a week.
